A man sized baby!

Well, it's official! He's man sized. We went to the doctor today and he is 15 lbs and 12 oz! That puts him in the 90-95% for his age. He is 25 1/2 inches which means we can start charting on the growth chart that Leigh Ann gave us. The doctor even said his problem with going to the bathroom was pretty normal and we didn't have anything to worry about. He also got his shots today and didn't approve! It took him a second to realize that he didn't like them and then he started crying and then screaming. He finally quieted down when we got in the car. The nurse was really fast and did a good job. He's been a little cranky this evening but over all he's been a trooper!

Curtis is downstairs with him watching the Cubs game. It's not very often that they go to the post season so it's super exciting for Curtis and he is enjoying watching it with Jackson. Here they are:
You can see how much Jackson in enjoying it! Although the nap won't last long, it's nice to see him getting some sleep!

I have a problem with children's clothing sizes. They are like women's clothing sizes in that they are wildly inconsistant. This outfit that the Fowlers gave us is labeled 6-9 months but it's already tight on Jackson who is 2.5 months. Something doesn't add up!

He's not upset because of the outfit, I promise!

I agree totally with the sizing of the clothing...it's all over the board! Max and Jackson are the same age, and Max is also becoming a "man baby" at 15 lbs 1 oz (remember, though, he was only 9lbs at birth, much smaller than "the man")! My 3 year old, Sammy was 16 lbs 1 oz at the same age and is now over 40 lbs! Wow--I thought he'd level off...
Max's shots were the pits, too, but they are so resiliant! Glad to see that Jackson is doing well! How is he sleeping at night?
Take care...

ps..are you all going to Furman Homecoming?

thanks for the comments, Becca. Good to hear from you! No, we won't be at homecoming this year. It is the first one we have missed in a while. I committed myself to a real active committee at church this fall and it is keeping us in town on most weekends. It's not really a big deal though as we aren't quite ready to be going away every weekend with the little baby. We'll be ready to roll out soon enough though. I hate to not make it back to Furman because it is one of my favorite places in the fall but we'll be there next year, hopefully!
