Visitors to the Hotel Callaway

Lots of things happened this week, most of which involved poopy diapers, late night feeding sessions and high pitched crying, so I don't need to go into any details on that front. I think we are starting to get a hang of this baby thing. We're definitely not pros yet, far from it, but I think we have a good idea of what Jackson expects throughout the day. However, we continue to struggle from 10 pm - 12 am. He's always hungry, dirty, upset, etc. during this time. Hopefully he'll progress this week because both mommy and daddy are pretty tired. On the positive side, we've been enjoying Hulu.com at 3 am...I highly recommend Arrested Development, The Office, or 30 Rock reruns.

We did have an exciting Saturday evening as we joined the Moores, the Williams, the Harrisons and Mr. Rork for dinner at Matthew's club. It was Jackson's first outing and he was wonderful. Didn't cry at all until we got into the car to leave. He's pictured on the left in his evening wear.

We have some great visitors this week, including my Aunt Patricia from Pittsburgh and my cousins, Katie and Michelle. We had not seen them since we were married in 2003 so it was wonderful to host them in our home, if only for a few hours. I can't believe how much Michelle and Katie have grown...hard to believe they are starting high school this year!

Bill and Sue, Kristina's aunt and uncle, also popped in for a quick visit on Thursday. They were picking up a friend at the Atlanta airport and had a few hours to swing up to Dalton. It's always great to see them and catch up. Don't they look good with a baby? Soon enough, Bill and Sue. Don't rush Jaclyn and Jon!

Lastly, Jackson has been enjoying walks through the neighborhood. Here's the crew out and about.

Jackson is adorable!
His YMCA pose is so much like Reagan's with the bottom lip pushed out and arms stretched up!
Look for "The Happiest Baby on the
Block" on Amazon (cheaper than at
Babies R Us) The 5 "S's" is a technique a doctor has been using
for 20 years that helps calm babies during their fussy periods.
We tried them-they work! Then you will be the "happiest parents on the block! Jackson is blessed to have you two as parents, and yes, you WILL have a full night's sleep again! Love, Great-Godmother Sue
